Explore a range of accessible and thought-provoking art, from historically significant to important contemporary works at this community-driven children’s museum. Rotating exhibits feature art and installations inspired by the rich cultural history of Sugar Hill and the artists of the Harlem Renaissance.

🛝 Eight women artists produce work that exceed formal limits, engage with the dynamics of play to create new models for how to view, and comprehend the world around us in Structural Play.

⏱️ Every piece on display in Things That Almost Happen exhibit is a reflection of real events and experiences, where every stroke tells a tale, and every piece is a reflection of life’s fleeting moments and the artist Meredith McNeal’s journey.

🌀 Multi-mobile and floor vinyl installation Skysoul fills the Skylight Gallery with Moses Ros’ colorful hybrid creatures, a combination of printmaking and paper sculptures.

🖼  Abelardo Morell: Playing presents intriguing photos including toys from unusual perspectives by the Havana-born photographer, and former resident of the Upper West Side.

📚 Catch rotating guest artists on Saturdays with musical toddler time at 10 am and interactive Story Hour  at 11 am.

🎨 Explore and experiment with working artists in well-equipped art-making facilities.

🎨 Look for workshops, performances, and other interactive programs specifically designed to nurture the curiosity, creativity and cognition of children ages 3 to 8.
