Spectacular gardens and collections across 250 acres host special events and ever-changing landscapes throughout the year.

🌻 Actively investigate science and nature in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, a 12-acre landscape that features a series of lush environments, including a pond, woodland, and meadow. Climb the boulders to look through telescopes, play large-scale musical instruments, make a giant bird’s nest, follow prompts for self-guided exploration and learn from the friendly staff and a corps of energetic teen Explainers. Find books, toys, doll houses  and bathrooms in the indoor activity center. On Wednesdays & weekends at 2:30 p.m, join storytimes to discover children’s books focusing on food and plant themes.

🪴 Learn about growing and preparing vegetables, fruit, and herbs at the Edible Academy. Get started gardening by sowing seeds, digging, and watering.

🌳 Walk the shaded trails of a stunning old-growth forest. Relax near a sparkling natural waterfall in the Bronx River. Stroll along the Native Plant Garden’s breezy promenade and meadow. Check out the lovely Rose Garden, in peak bloom June & October.

🌵 Wander through jungles, deserts, other climates and a pretty rainbow tunnel and in the weather-proof conservatory.
