There’s always something fun happening – performances, classes, games, ice skating in the winter and more- at this lush midtown oasis with perhaps the cleanest public bathrooms in the city.

⛸ Watch skaters – or skate yourself – on the city’s only free ice rink,  spin on bumper cars on ice ($25, ages 7+) or reserve a cozy Igloo.

🐴  Ride the small, charming Le Carrousel, specially created to complement the park’s French classical style, with brightly colored horses, frogs, bunnies and other animals and French cabaret music (10 am-8 pm daily, $4/ride).

🍽 Try all sorts of international food, including ramen, macarons, crepes and chocolate in the market or cozy up with a festive cocktail and food to watch the ice skaters at the open-air The Lodge. Or  Belgian waffles, ice cream, pastries, babka, salads, sandwiches and more food and treats from the many kiosks and booths (lots of tables and chairs available around the rink), or sit down to dine al fresco at the outdoor Fever-Tree Porch with swings and lounge furniture, on the patio and rooftop of Bryant Park Grill, or the more informal Bryant Park Café.

🥐 Beloved Swedish bakery Ole & Steen and French patisserie Angelina Paris are both across the street at Sixth Ave & 40th Street.

🗓 See the daily calendar for upcoming family-friendly activities, from juggling lessons to weekday lunchtime piano concerts.

🧸 Take indoor, climate-controlled breaks at the stately flagship New York Public Library, home of a charming Children’s Center and a free exhibition featuring the original Winnie The Pooh among other treasure.
