Enter two-floor exhibition of entirely new work by 90-year-old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama—including paintings, sculptures, an immersive installation, and the debut of a new infinity room. Lots of polka dots, eyeballs and reflective surfaces make it fun for all ages.
You can just walk in to most of the show, but the Infinity Room is first come, first entry with crazy outdoor lines (1-4 hours) . Bring entertainment for the expect long lines and go on weekday mornings if possible. No bathrooms at the gallery; closest one is at the High Line Hotel on Tenth Avenue. Daily line updates will be shared on David Zwirner’s instagram.
Show is totally worth visiting without the infinity room, there’s an uncrowded rainbow infinity ladder upstairs behind a curtain. Also look down the stairs at multiple reflections of the black and white polka-dot pumpkin.
