Learn about the art of weaving from Indigenous women as they share the beauty of Native basketry and the significance of keeping this tradition alive through the different weaving traditions, materials, and stories and inspirations that go into making a basket. Join us and hear directly from Corine Pearce (Redwood Valley Little River Band of Pomo), Ronni-leigh Goeman (Onondaga), Iva Honyestewa (Hopi), and Laura Wong-Whitebear (Colville).

James Hsieh: No Place I’d Rather Be
Vibrant embroideries and hand-sewn textile sculptures by multi-disciplinary artist James Hsieh juxtapose childlike wonderments with adult thoughts and emotions in 28 Liberty’s ground-level amphitheater and retail space. Walk though fantastical nature in immersive environments and watch whimsical animations on oversized screens.
