Saturday, April 28, 10:30 am–3:00 pm
Whitney Museum of American Art (99 Gansevoort Street)
$22, $18/students & seniors, free/kids under 18

Explore the legacy of ballet through movement, costumes, and character. Inspired by artworks in the exhibition Nick Mauss: Transmissions, parents and kids will transform into a character of their choosing by creating a costume and then posing for a collaborative portrait. Dancer Alexandra Albrecht will be there from 11 am to 1 pm to talk with families and suggest ways that they can express their characters by creating shapes with their bodies.
