Wave Hill Family Art Project: Bundle Dyeing and Hapa Zome

Join visiting artist Natalie Stopka to create botanical works of art featuring common herbs and garden flowers—like marigolds, coreopsis and hollyhock. Practice the technique of hapa zome, also known as plant pounding, and then bundle-dye silk handkerchiefs using simple, ecologically friendly processes and aroma-therapeutic ways to explore botanical color. Takes place inhe historic Wave Hill House nestled among scenic forests and gardens with stunning Hudson River views.
