Create, improvisational compositions out of bountiful donated squares of fabric in honor of Dr. King’s birthday and the inspiring women quilters of Gee’s Bend, a community in rural Alabama that established a Freedom Quilting Bee in 1966 during a visit from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Also explore scenic forests and gardens and hear themed storytimes.

Eats & Treats: The Café in in historic Wave Hill House serves a menu of local, seasonal ingredients including warm entrées, sandwiches, salads and kid-friendly options.
