The Rink at Rockefeller Center

This urban rink is one of the smallest and most expensive in the city, but the iconic location is pure magic. Operating at a limited capacity with 50 minute skate times – but no tourist throngs this year. Mostly outdoors, but admission is through the indoor skate house.

A 25-foot-tall cast bronze sculpture ‘The Oracle’ at the entrance to the Channel Gardens serves as the centerpiece of conceptual artist Sanford Biggers’ epic art installation featuring a varied slate of works across Rockefeller Center. Look for elements of an ancient depiction of Zeus with an “Africoid mask-bust figure.”
