The Let Go

Saturday, June 16
11:00 am–6:00 pm
Park Avenue Armory
643 Park Avenue between 66th and 67th Streets
Upper East Side

Dance away at an installation by interdisciplinary artist Nick Cave activated by “chase,” a multi-colored, 100-foot-long mylar sculpture that glides across the dance floor. Dancers lead games of Twister, Soul Train lines, a special line dance called “The Let Go” created for the installation, soundsuit invasions, and other dance-based encounter set to music curated by some of New York’s leading DJs played as a soundtrack or mixed live. Yoga practitioners, hula-hoopers, church choirs, and school groups from across all boroughs are invited to express themselves through movement within the installation.

* Enjoy scones (the glazed pumpkins are as magical as the decor), sandwiches, salads,  treats, and teas served in charming mismatching pots and cups at the whimsical nearby Alice’s Tea Cup.
