The Beauty of Ballet: Brooklyn

Students from the School of American Ballet – the official school of New York City Ballet – and faculty member Katrina Killian offer a sneak peek inside the classroom to see how students train to become professional ballet dancers. Learn a few steps right from your seats before seeing SAB students perform excerpts from classical ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty in costume to live music.
This hour-long program concludes with an engaging Q&A with audience members. Learn how ballerinas dance on their toes, how dancers turn without getting dizzy and more.
