Taste of Jewish Culture Street Festival: Diversity is Delicious

Celebrate the delicious contributions immigrants have made and continue to make to Jewish and New York cuisine. This year’s theme “Diversity is Delicious” highlights the many contributions that immigrants have made and continue to make to Jewish and New York cuisine. Participants include Mysttik Masaala, Ample Hills, What’s the Dillaz?, Bread’s Bakery, Brooklyn Brine, Taïm, Danny Macaroon, Mission Ceviche, Sweet Chili NYC, La Newyorkina, and Destination Dumplings. Try global mashups such as Indian style potato latkes with a mint and tamarind dipping sauce, pastrami and sauerkraut dumplings and babka ice cream sandwiches. Free egg creams and pickle pops for dads. Also enjoy performances by Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All Stars and the Klezmer-rock band, Golem plus engaging activities for kids like designing soda jerk hats and cooking demonstrations in Yiddish.
