Celebrate the resilience and valuable contributions of Puerto Rican and Nuyorican artists, activists and educators with a day of art-making, storytelling, and guided tours. Features an installation by multidisciplinary visual artist Adrián “Viajero” Román, a movement workshop with Milteri Tucker Concepción and the Bombazo Dance Company, and an interactive workshop with Valor y Cambio, a community currency project, inspired by Puerto Rican figures, that combines art, storytelling, and solidarity economy principles.
Families with children on the autism spectrum can come at 11 am to explore El Museo’s galleries before they open to the public. Educators will guide families through sensory friendly gallery activites and an art making workshop.
