Don’t be afraid to visit NYC’s oldest, largest, and “scariest” weekly curated shopping market as it transforms for Halloween into a “Spooky Bazaar”. Be greeted by creepy crawly and ghostly decorations, and uncover unearthly finds from over 180 “scary” (many in costume) independent artists, designers, craft-makers, vintage dealers, and food entrepreneurs that can’t be found elsewhere. Costumes welcome.

Profits are donated to four local public school.

AMNH Origami Holiday Tree

Over 1,000 intricate origami creations decorate this unique tree. The theme of this year’s 13-foot tree is Beautiful Bugs, featuring specially created models inspired by the upcoming Family Insectarium opening later this winter. Also look for paper versions of museum icons like the big blue whale and t-rex.

Join museum educators in the lovely children’s library for story time and crafts. Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story. Themes related to New York history and current exhibits change monthly.
