Enjoy extended hours and special activities at South Street Seaport Museum announces during New York City public schools’ Mid-Winter Recess.
At 10 am & 11 am, participate in hands-on activities that explore the fascinating world of 19th century trans-Atlantic sailors on board the 1885 Tall Ship Wavertree. Haul on ropes to raise the sail, and walk the capstan ‘round, while learning how sailors slept, ate, worked, and played.
The historic ships and exhibits, including the charming Seaport Discovery: Exploring our Waters with Eric Carle will be open daily 11am–5pm.
The Water Arch
