Head out on the Sheldrake Nature Center lakeside trails in search of things in nature that closely resemble the characters in Pokémon.
Did you know Pikachu’s original design concept for Pokémon is based on a squirrel, not a mouse? Pokémon characters are influenced by animals, insects and objects found in nature as they go through their life cycle. Many of the Pokémon characters are nearly identical to their real-world animal inspirations.
Class is held entirely outdoors, with nature as the classroom.
