Step into an evolving greenhouse to enjoy seasonal produce and floral-infused drinks at Eataly’s rooftop restaurant. The floral decor and menu will constantly change to explore nature’s bounty and biodiversity, month over month. A portion of proceeds benefit Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Children’s Garden. Online reservations recommended. Open rain or shine – the roof is retractable.

Several other sit-down and to-go options throughout the Italian emporium include outdoor dining on 23rd Street and 5th Ave, Napoli-style pizza delicious gelato and a mix & match Venchi chocolate bar.

Holiday Art Installation: Interwoven

Experience an interactive installation by design firm Atelier Cho Thompson. Celebrate the joys of intersecting with community in public space. When you and another person cross through the matching arches, you’ll activate synchronized lights and melodious sounds.

Outdoor Chanukah Extravaganza

Police Officer Moira Ann Smith Playground

Toy soldiers welcome kids to this brightly colored playground featuring water fountains, tire-swings, water-spouting alphabet blocks, turrets, slides, and a large water wheel in the northeast corner of charming Madison Square Park..

Named after Officer Moira Ann Smith, the only NYPD policewoman to be lost on September 11, 2001, the playground stands as a loving tribute to this community hero and mother.
