See the famous 82 foot Norway Spruce, illuminated with 30,000 LED lights  and topped with a massive Swarovski crystal star overlooking the iconic ice rink. Turn left on (car-free) 48th Street from Fifth Avenue, then walk west util you see the tree to the right for a less crowded views. The glowing angels in the Channel Gardens are on Fifth Avenee,  the perfect viewing spot  for the Saks light show across the street.

Admire the tree from cute, heated Balsam Hill Skate Cabins available for 50 min dining increments 1 pm–10 pm ($10 + cost of food/drinks).  A seasonal menu of drinks by Other Half Brewery are served alongside a warming menu of après-skate bites by 21 Greenpoint.

Pick up a lovely holiday map and postcard from friendly elves throughout the plaza (or in the 30 Rock lobby). Sometimes an unofficial Santa roams the crowds for photos for tips.

Play at the iconic shops around the plaza including FAO Schwarz (which has a great view of the tree from the giant piano on the second floor), American Girl, LEGO and Nintendo.  Head to the Top of the Rock for incredible 360-degree views of the city and Central Park.

Sandwiched between more fabulous decor on Sixth Avenue & Fifth Avenue, see our holiday map to explore.
