See the debut of Renegade Performance Group‘s ‘Ephemera’ – a new Afrofuturist site-specific dance/media work at Socrates Sculpture Park. This multimedia project expounding on the body as a living-archive using choreography, sound-design, and technology to activate the current exhibition, Chronos Cosmos: Deep Time, Open Space. The Black Speculative Arts Movement will also join for outreach and engagement between performances (at 3 & 6 pm).
Field Guide: Planting Workshop
Join neighborhood farmer Anna Poaster of Hellgate Farm and talk about plants, planting, then get into the soil! Plant vegetables, herbs, and flowers in the education gardens.
Over the rest of the summer, these plants will be attracting pollinators, and being used, tasted, smelled, touched, and propagated in the season’s workshops.
