Join Boogie Down Books and the Randall’s Island Park Alliance for a celebration of books for young readers by local authors and illustrators from Harlem, the Bronx, and the wider NYC community.
Features readings, discussions, and signings with local authors and illustrators of spectacular books for children and teens, special events, giveaways, a bilingual read-aloud by Bella Noche from Drag Story Hour NYC, doughnut decorating with a free copy of The Doughnut Fix while supplies last and games and races on the very track where both Jesse Owens and Usain Bolt set world records.
Learn about the design of the largest of the Park’s woodlands, a 40-acre forest retreat in the middle of New York City, and how the plants and trees contribute to the health of an urban woodland community.
