River To River celebrates WorldPride NYC with Drag Queen Story Hours, glamorously gender-fluid full-color reading rainbow where kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real. At 11 am & 3 pm.
Look for evocative symbols and shapes among Carolyn Salas’s large, laser-cut, powder-coated aluminum sculptures. The intricate patterns reference conflicting expectations and possibilities of womanhood and feminine identity.
