Poster House hosts its first-ever block party with art activities with partner organizations, free museum tours, performances, dance, giveaways, and more. Everyone gets free admission to Poster House all day (10 am – 6 pm).

Activities include live screenprinting, interactive Wheatpasting Wall, zine printing with Center for Book Arts, instant photography with Fotografiska, math mazes by National Museum of Mathematics (nearby for indoor breaks), landscape & memory tours and mapmaking with Madison Square Park Conservancy, landmark coloring sheets and tabletop games with the Flatiron NoMad Partnership, stamp-making, face painting games and more.

Poster Kids: For the Love Of Books

Join Poster House for a family-friendly, interactive, poster tour and a related art-making experience. Available in-person and virtually.

This month, explore the exhibition Ethel Reed: I Am My Own Property, discover the techniques Reed used to popularize literature and then create stories about our own museum experiences.

Summer Streets

Police Officer Moira Ann Smith Playground

Toy soldiers welcome kids to this brightly colored playground featuring water fountains, tire-swings, water-spouting alphabet blocks, turrets, slides, and a large water wheel in the northeast corner of charming Madison Square Park..

Named after Officer Moira Ann Smith, the only NYPD policewoman to be lost on September 11, 2001, the playground stands as a loving tribute to this community hero and mother.
