Suggested Ages: All
Create art, share ideas, listen to storybook readings, and enjoy live music as a family.
At 11:30 am (ages 3+) and 2 pm (ages 8+), enjoy the toe-tapping sounds of Nefesh Mountain, led by singer Doni Zasloff and her multi-instrumentalist husband Eric Lindberg. Dance to a vibrant blend of Bluegrass, Celtic, and Appalachian tunes with a Jewish soul, as the band performs original melodies along with holiday favorites such as Woody Guthrie’s “Hanukkah Dance.”
From 1-4 pm, explore the striking paintings of Jacob Lawrence, Stuart Davis, Georgia O’Keeffe, and more on view in the exhibition Edith Halpert and the Rise of American Art, then drop into the art studio to create your own luminous scene with metallic collage and colorful drawing materials inspired by these works of art and in celebration of the glowing light of the Hanukkah holiday.
