Suggested Ages: Toddlers, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-10

Create art, share ideas, listen to storybook readings, and enjoy live music as a family. A 10 am gallery program includes interactive activities, art viewing, and a PJ Library collection book reading. At 10:45 am head to the art studio to create original art and enjoy a snack.

The program ends with an 11:30 am family concert with Grammy Award-winner Dan Zanes  and his wife Claudia singing Zanes’ greatest hits along with folk and blues classics—music where sea shanties, English Music hall, play party songs, the spirit of early rock-n-roll, soul, North American, and West Indian folk music collide. Hear tunes of Americana inspired by celebrated artists Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O’Keeffe and others on view in the exhibition: Edith Halpert and the Rise of American Art along with Bomba rhythms from African/Peurto-Rican  percussion group BombaYo.

This performance will be sensory friendly and inclusive for all audiences.
