NYC Audubon’s It’s Your Tern Festival

Celebrate Governors Island’s population of Common Terns nesting on piers that extend into Buttermilk Channel. This annual festival features bird walks around Governors Island, booths from environmentally focused organizations, a Common Tern viewing station, arts and crafts activities for kids and musical performances. Also create water-awareness inspired tiles for a group mural with The Climate Museum. Part of City of Water Day. Stick around for an outdoor dance party (6-9 pm)
