Modigliani Unmasked

Sunday, October 1–Sunday, February 4, 10:00 am–5:30 pm
The Jewish Museum (1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street)
$15, free/ages 18 & under

See early drawings by acclaimed sculptor Amedeo Modigliani as well as a selection of his paintings and sculptures alongside work representative of the various multicultural influences—African, Greek, Egyptian, and Khmer—that inspired the Italian-Sephardic artist during his youth in turn-of-the-century Paris. Heads composed of bold lines are accessible to all ages, and an accompanying kids’ guide encourages all ages to notice the connections between Modigliani’s drawings and his sculptures and to create line drawings of their own.
