Marta Minujín: Menesunda Reloaded
August 14 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Explore a colorful, multi-level labyrinth is full of surprises and interactive elements – neon tunnels, a bedroom with a married couple, a hallway lined with illuminated TVs, secret doors, a mini salon with makeup artists and manicures and more. A reconstruction of Argentinian artist Marta Minujín’s 1965 immersive installation La Menesunda perfect for our instagrammable pop-up era. A unique experience that is fun for all ages.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult and no strollers allowed due to steep staircases and uneven surfaces. Visitors admitted one at a time so be prepared to wait; line is usually shorter earlier in the day.
Always interesting art to see – and interact with – in the rotating exhibits at Manhattan’s only dedicated contemporary art museum. Pay-what-you-wish; $2 suggested minimum.
