Explore more than 100 pumpkin-headed scarecrows set among giant and unusual pumpkins and gourds in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden. Put on a festive fall puppet show and have a spooky tea party in the Victorian playhouse. Guided activities on afternoons and weekends include potting up a ghostly dusty miller plant. Take a tropical break from fall in gorgeous exhibition Brazilian Modern: The Living Art of Roberto Burle Marx. On weekends, watch master pumpkin carvers and meet creepy creatures.

Step into your role as a naturalist by creating a backyard herbarium and DIY flower press with everyday materials. Take a walk with exhibiting artist Duy Hoàng through the woodlands to Wave Hill’s compost pile to collect fallen flowers and leaves, paying special attention to your surrounding environment. Then, head back to the studio to create work that infuses your unique observations and thoughts to reimagine what a scientific document can be.
