Celebrate The Year of the Rat with Puppetry in Practice artist and acclaimed author/ illustrator Angelo DeCesarem who will use live drawing to adapt “The Cat and the Rat” from the famous legend of the Chinese zodiac story. Make “tricky rat” puppets. Then go on a Dragon Walk with exciting PiP puppeteer and storyteller Luciano Cohen.

Grupo Rebolu: Season Welcome Party

Afro-Colombian musical ensemble, Grupo Rebolu interprets the traditional sounds of their homeland: gaita, tambura, chalupa, and bullerengue, with original compositions reflecting on their New York home. Carnegie Hall Citywide: Pistolera

Enjoy a free concert given by Pistolera. Anchored by the Spanish vocals of Sandra Velasquez, and buoyed by accordion, guitar, bass, and percussion, this band’s sound owes much to traditional Mexican music. The group’s socially conscious songs address timely topics such as immigrants’ rights, racism, feminism, and more.
