Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge with a family-friendly event highlighting the vast array of experiences that have taken place in this iconic public space. Enjoy performances from world roots band Brown Rice Family, folk and alt-country group The Maybelles, Young Soon WHITE WAVE Dance Company, and hula hoop troup Big Sky Works; in addition to video art projections by Light Year in commemoration of its 50th installation; sculptures by Casey Opstad; photo installations by United Photo Industries, roving performances by Miss Saturn and puppeteer Kate Brehm; and art exhibits within two gallery spaces. Bites and drinks will be available for purchase from the Archway’s concessionaires, including Lunchtime Under the Archway featuring Rice and Miso Everyday, El Super, and Bread and Spread, and a beer and wine kiosk modeled after the Manhattan 3 Cent Line.
