Little Amal Walks NYC: Brooklyn
Sep 23 @ 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Suggested Ages: All, Adult Friendly
Little Amal, a giant puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee girl, explores Brooklyn.
At 3:30 pm, Amal needs a break from the noise of the city and explores the beautiful Green-Wood Cemetery. As she walks she discovers she is not in fact alone but surrounded by local children who have come to sing to her.
At 5:30 in Bay Ridge, Amal almost feels she’s back home in Aleppo. Caught up in a Syrian wedding procession, she discovers she still remembers the words of all the songs.
At 7:30, walking through Williamsburg, Amal finds a gravity-defying performance created by Elizabeth Streb’s STREB EXTREME ACTION and STREB Kid PopAction Company.
