Little Amal, a traveling giant puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee girl with a message of hope and solidarity for displaced people everywhere, explores Brooklyn.

At 3:30 pm, Amal joins children of all ages and backgrounds to weave a huge web of yarn on the rooftop of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. As part of a workshop led by Natalia Nakazawa, children will share stories about where they come from and their dreams of where they hope to go, while adding to the collective weaving.

At 5 pm, Amal is led through streets of Bed Stuy filled with the music of drummers to Restoration Plaza where the neighborhood throws her a party she will never forget.
