Past and present meet in a six-sculpture immersive art installation designed to celebrate the workers and community of the South Street Seaport Historic District and the New York Harbor. Dedicated to inclusivity and equity, artist Rose DeSiano wove together mirrors with historic photographs from the South Street Seaport Museum‘s collection. Light and color dance among the mirrors and photos, creating optical illusions designed to give viewers the feeling of becoming a part of the neighborhood’s history.

Part of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council‘s (LMCC) 21st annual River To River Festival.

Also stop by Pier 16 anytime to explore an outdoor exhibition with historic photographs, prints, lithographs, and paintings celebrating the people of all backgrounds who lived and worked in the South Street Seaport Historic District.
