Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month at CMOM. Honor different traditions through ideas of family, ancestry, and culture by exploring Latinx artists who approach these themes through music, art, writing, and dance.

Activities throughout the museum all week include storytimes, postcard design, creating mini buildings covered in graffiti, word art, and murals, monarch butterfly collages and multicultural musical celebrations with Flor Bromley (Sunday 2 & 3 pm).

A La Calle Block Party

Ballet Hispánico celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a four-hour celebration of Latino dance, music, art, food and community. Diana Ross Playground

Summit Rock, the highest natural point in Central Park, provides a shady (climbable) backdrop to this pretty playground. A large wooden climbing structure with multiple levels of platforms and decks links to ladders, slides, and tire swings, all set in a naturalistic sand area. Also enjoy toddler swings and spray showers in the summer.
