History/military buffs and plane lovers can examine original artifacts, view historic video footage and explore interactive exhibits aboard an actual 1943 aircraft carrier. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to roam with tons to and explore.

* The majority of the 350,000 square foot Intrepid Museum is available and accessible to visitors, including most exhibitions, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, which houses the space shuttle Enterprise.  The submarine Growler is temporarily closed.

* Walk among military and commercial planes and helicopters from the last 100 years aboard the Intrepid’s upper deck (with great NYC & NJ views).

* Food service and gift shops are open.

* Audio Tours, Simulators and 3D Films are temporarily unavailable. Exploreum interactive experiences are temporarily closed

* Closed Monday–Wednesday.

* Sample some of the best eats in the city, from Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop to Ample Hills Creamery ice cream, at nearby Gotham West Market, with some outdoor dining plus takeout.

American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog

Dog-lovers can explore canine-related artwork with cutting-edge technology and interpretation, plus items from the library, archives and collection of the American Kennel Club headquarters.

Current exhibit Hollywood Dogs exhibit features original movie posters of some of the biggest canine blockbusters, from Lassie to Babe and more, plus drawings and illustrations that highlight animated and cartoon…
