Learn about Intrepid’s role in the Space Race and then find out if you have “the right stuff” as you go through an astronaut training course. Learn about the disorientation astronauts may feel when they first get to space, the effects of a vacuum on humans, and how to live and work in one of the harshest environments around.

Intrepid A to Z

Explore an alphabetized collection of objects selected by former crew members, veterans and curators to represent life on board the Intrepid aircraft carrier from 1943 until 1974.
