Learn about the connections between arts, sciences, and history on a family-friendly museum situated on the banks of the Hudson River.

* Border Cantos | Sonic Border, a unique and moving collaboration between American photographer Richard Misrach and sculptor and Mexican composer Guillermo Galindo, addresses the humanitarian situation at the wall between the US and Mexico. Misrach’s large-scale photographs beautifully capture the various types of landscapes, textures, and experiences found across the almost 2,000-mile Mexican-American border, including the existing wall. Galindo’s installation, Sonic Border, is an original score for eight instruments, created out of discarded objects found and collected near the wall or in remote open areas.

* See the many colors in sunrises and sunsets in Collection Spotlight: The Art of Skywatching and learn how they come from basic properties of the atmosphere surrounding our planet—and are also enhanced by pollution.

* Explore the exhibition Landscape Art & Virtual Travel with a self-guided scavenger hunt. Learn how different artists render landscapes, both real and fantastical, by looking closely at different works of art as you hunt for clues, and travel to places you may never have imagined. Available in English and Spanish.

* Relax in the outdoor courtyard (bring your own mat or blanket if you’d like to lounge) and play on a large lawn overlooking the Hudson River.

* The Planetarium, Hudson Riverama and Glenview historic mansion are currently closed. Join weekly virtual planetarium shows for kids.

* Free admission Saturday 5–7 pm.
