Join Governors Island Arts for a three-day celebration of the seasonal Organizations in Residence in Nolan Park and Colonels Row. More than 15 cultural partners come together for a weekend-long creative celebration featuring free dance and music performances, outdoor installations, interactive workshops, open studios, panel discussions, and more. Explore the lineup of works already on display from the two dozen Organizations in Residence in the historic houses in Nolan Park and Colonels Row.
Saturday 3-6 pm, dance to soundtracks provided by Brooklyn United Marching Band, Brass Queens, DJ Aguapanela Mami, and DJ Yung Mayne. as part of citywide Dance Party NYC.
Other highlights include an epic dance theater piece set by dance to the people, interactive improvisation with Sydnie L. Mosley Dance, WRITE NYC: Street Lab, a tasting menu picnic with Red Flower Collective and much more.

Bajo el manto de la selva / Under the Cover of the Jungle
Immerse yourself in the Colombian rainforest with Winter Garden’s new large-scale sculptural work created by Tatiana Arocha, recipient of the 2022 Brookfield Place New York Annual Arts Commission. Made of hand-made paper, tree branches, reed, fique and wood, the work is representative of the artist’s layered relationship with the ecology of Colombia, her home country.
