Take a stroll on the unique public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side.

* Timed-entry passes required on weekends. On weekdays, the park is open at 7 am –7 pm without reservations.

* Lots of nature, art installations (including current group exhibition The Musical Brain throughout) & cool design incorporating elements of the original rail line.

* Look for interesting architecture and watch taxis and pedestrians below at the 10th Avenue overlook. On 30th Street, Simone Leigh  a 16-foot-tall bronze bust of a Black woman with a torso that combines the forms of a skirt and a clay house on Brick House overlooks Third Avenue).

* Find cool interdisciplinary programming for all ages including Okwui Okpokwasili On the way, undone this week.

* Enter at Gansevoort Street, 23rd Street, or 30th Street (elevators available), and move north or south.

* Food vendors and water features are currently closed. Fuel up at with tons of options at nearby Chelsea Market and explore public art in the neighborhood.
