In partnership with the Old Stone House, the Gowanus Dredgers invite Loyalist, revolutionaries and common folk to join a canoe tour of the famous Battle of Brooklyn escape route. Paddle with the Dredgers and ask for planners to provide a barrier free shoreline access similar to Dutch Canals. Learn the History of Gowanus at the Dredgers 2nd St. dock. Wear a RED PFD to support the King or arrive early to get a BLUE PFD to join the revolution.

Prospect Park Zoo

This former menagerie is designed to allow up-close animal viewing, perfect for families with young children who want to learn about wildlife.

Explore a Discovery Trail and encounter 400 animals of 150 species including red pandas, dingos, procupines and a host of beautiful birds. Visit unique small cats, sea lions and Chinese-big headed turtles.
