Learn about modern maritime businesses in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Choose from two tours. At 12:30 pm, explore the Yard’s waterfront with stops at FDNY, Harbor School’s Billion Oyster Project, and a historical dry dock operated by GMD Shipyard. At 1:45 pm, take a ferry ride and learn about what it’s like to operate and work for NYC Ferry. Between tours, fun games and activities will be available for kids to explore, and BNY staff will be on hand to answer questions about the Yard.
Putting Green
Play an 18-hole golf course on a Williamsburg waterfront deck showcasing problems and solutions for climate change issues facing our planet. Find polar bears, whales, windmills and more while learning about green and blue infrastructure, animal habitat, energy, emissions and more.
