Celebrate the year of the pig in Flushing at a parade featuring traditional Chinese costumes, floats, dancing and Lion Dances. The crowded extravaganza starts at 11 am at Union Street & 37th Ave and ends at Main Street & 39th Ave. From 9:30 to 10:30 am, gather at historic St. George’s Church from before heading to the parade site together. See performances by local group including a fencing demonstration by Queens Fencing Club and a Kpop medley from Epic 88. Connect and stay warm with hot coffee and refreshments and enter raffle and prize giveaways. After, dine on noodles and other authentic treats from local Chinese restaurants.
