February Break Class: Drawing, Painting, And More Week
Suggested Ages: 8-10 to 11-14
Young artists experiment with color and texture through drawing and painting, as well as sculpture, and will be encouraged to develop their own approach while exploring a different medium each day (acrylics, pencil, watercolor, charcoal, and more.) With hands-on instruction by our teaching artist, students will explore concepts such as composition and color, as well as learn a little art history along the way. All supplies included.
Meander through an 18th-century landscape ablaze with more than 7,000 illuminated, hand-carved jack o’ lanterns forming amazing sculptures and settings. Tour the brand-new Museum of Pumpkin Art, where classic paintings get the gourd treatment, listen for the Headless Horseman—and watch out for swooping jack o’lantern bats. See the Pumpkin Carousel twirl and the Pumpkin Windmill whirl and step inside the Pumpkin Planetarium for a unique star show. Features synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack.
