DUMBO Holiday Tree + Santa’s Mailbox
Suggested Ages: All
Classic rainbow lights bedeck a tree framed by the Brooklyn Bridge. Drop off your letter to Santa at a festive mailbox. If Santa notices that your wishlist can be sourced right here in Dumbo, he may just give you $100 Dumbo Dollars to spend in the neighborhood as an early holiday gift (Santa will need an email address to expedite, since the reindeers are getting ready for the big day).
Animated trees from the masterminds at Augenblick Studios illuminate the Manhattan Bridge Anchorage 6-10 pm every night in December.
Unwrapped toys, winter coats and packaged, non-perishables food donations welcome; drop off in the lobby of Empire Stores.
On the first Thursday of every month, DUMBO’s galleries stay open late for a night of art, openings, artist talks, and live performance. Enjoy incredible views of the East River and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges while walking from one gallery to the next.

This expansive park has great attractions and a gorgeous only-in-NYC view. Explore refurbished piers, most of which host playgrounds (our favorites are at Pier 6 including giant Slide Mountain, Sandbox Village, Swing Valley and the splashy Water Lab). Play in the sand and admire tide pools at Pier 4 Beach (no swimming/wading).
Find a variety of yummy concessions throughout the park and restrooms at Piers 2,5 & 6.More info
