New York City–based artists perform music from different parts of the world that can be found right in NYC in a colorful, participatory experience. Sofía Rei and Sofia Tosello sing Argentine folk songs from both urban and rural traditions. Martha Redbone shares Native American music and dance, blending these traditions with elements of blues and funk. Sbongiseni Duma and Tshidi Manye explore the unique harmonies and percussive sounds of South African Zulu music. Free pre-concert activities take place one hour prior to the performance.
