Children’s poet and actor Charles Waters joins poet and novelist Irene Latham to read and discuss their children’s book Can I Touch Your Hair: Poems of Race, Mistakes & Friendship, praised by the Kirkus Review as a “fresh approach to exploring interracial communication.” After the reading, the authors and Poets House education staff will present a themed poetry prompt to attendees, young and old.
