This encyclopedic, community focused museum on the edge of Prospect Park hosts a huge, diverse permanent collection categorized by culture, as well as thoughtful visiting exhibitions from all over the world.

* Explore African Art, Indigenous Americas Art, American Art, Ancient Egyptian Art, Decorative Arts and much more in spacious galleries over five floors of a gorgeous Beaux-Arts building.

* Admire the multidisciplinary work of a visionary artist and designer  in Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech‘ including collaborations with artist Takashi Murakami, musician Kanye West, and architect Rem Koolhaas, among others; material from his fashion label Off-White; and items from Louis Vuitton, where he served as the first Black menswear artistic director. Separate timed ticket required (additional $9/adults, $6/students & seniors, $10/ages 4-12).

🍽 Stop by the Café for pre-packaged locally sourced sandwiches, salads, snacks, and beverages or dine at The Norm restaurant, inspired by the diversity of Brooklyn and exhibitions on view. Get burgers, salads and more at nearby cool cafe Lincoln Station.

Family Discovery Days at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Experiment, learn, and play at hands-on activity stations throughout the Discovery Garden that encourage families to explore science and nature together. Pot up a plant or create a nature craft to take home alongside volunteer Discovery Docents.
