Between the Lines
Suggested Ages: 7 to 14+
Based on the novel by New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leer, this empowering and enchanting new pop musical is fun for lovers of books and fairy tales. An outsider in a new town and a new school, 17-year-old Delilah seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book featuring a charming prince. As the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur in both extraordinary and astonishing ways, Delilah has to confront whether she alone has the power to rewrite her own story amid family and high school drama.
Touches on dark subjects like depression, suicide and alcohol, but it’s mostly whimsical and light-hearted with spectacular costumes, spellbinding projections and a tap-dancing dog. The cast is fantastic, with incredible singing, acting and comedy in both the high school milieu and the fantasy world of the book.
