Enjoy exhibitions, events and programs that connect the science and innovation from the 1969 moon landing to the space exploration of tomorrow. Explore Apollo 11: Media, the Moon and Beyond, a new installation beneath the space shuttle Enterprise that will showcase the awe of the moon landing through the emotions and reactions that echoed worldwide, meet members of the Space Enabled research group from MIT’s Media Lab and experience Earthrise: A 50 Year Contemplation, their celebration of the original Earthrise photo taken during the 1968 Apollo 8 mission and see a planetarium show that journey through the small steps that resulted in humanity’s giant leap to the moon. Travel alongside astronauts on the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions to discover the techniques and technology that NASA had to invent and perfect before attempting a trip to the moon.
