Embark on a challenging journey teeming with friends and foes revealing the unusual relationship between caterpillars, butterflies and their natural surroundings. Adventure through the leaves, learn how to move like a caterpillar, discover an ant that reaps the reward of an unusual friendship, then transform into a butterfly and take flight.
Beware, the maze includes dead-ends, down which lurk poisonous plants and predators waiting to pounce. Choose the right route, stamp your card along the way, and emerge as a beautiful butterfly
This is an interactive exhibit, no live butterflies. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Strollers are not permitted inside this exhibit.
Also explore the 234-acre public park has extensive formal gardens, an arboretum with a number of tree collections and a number of walking trails including a stunning veteran’s memorial trail. Highlights include a Chinese Friendship Garden and the dinosaur garden with life-size statues. Use your smart phone to follow Lexi the T-Rexi through your experience.
